My Story

Simply put, I love beads! All types of beads - from wooden to gemstones, from small to huge, from round to all different shapes.

My fascination with beads began as I was rooting though my mom's pink jewelry box. It was full of all kinds of treasures like a fancy necklace of crystal beads, some of which were coated with silver. I know now it was "costume" jewelry, but it sure looked like diamonds to me! There were rhinestone pins, pearl necklaces, and one I loved the most - some type of pop-together imitation pearls. As I write this, I looked it up - and you can still find them online  - "pop-it" beads!

For many year's, I've been somewhat obsessed with Africa - the people, the music, the wildlife, the vibrant colors used in their dress, and most of all, their uplifting spirit, no matter how difficult life can be.

 I discovered Kazuri beads.

Years ago, I took a jewelry making class as a pleasant distraction during my second (ouch) divorce. I was immediately hooked. What began as a hobby, became an obsession, and I've gone through many phases, a few brand names, and often allowed life's kicks to get me down and off track. But, I've always come back to my passion more determined than before.

And, I've always wanted my brand to make a difference - to help women in some way. With the current xxx with our government, I want to help those being taken

Ten percent of all sales will be donated to the xxx to help those in their legal fight against xxx.

I just turned 75, and I'm starting over, once again.
